IBC is an acronym for InventoryButler Closet ™, and is a new creation for the Second Life platform, developed by Alice Klinger for Alli&Ali Designs. This standard was created in order to outline the specifications for all sorts of items and pictures that can be used with the InventoryButler Closet the way it was intended to use.

So what is the intention of the InventoryButler Closet ™?

The answer is simple. The closet should allow browsing items by viewing their pictures. Obviously, this requires every item in the closet to also have a picture for it stored in the closet.

Here the specifications of IBC compliant products/items:

1. The item can be any Second Life item that is copyable (by its end user) for a better user experience.
2. The item if it includes more than 1 piece (as for example an outfit ensemble), is boxed in a copyable product box.
3. The product box contains an at least copyable picture of the product/item.
4. The item or box is named exactly the same (with exact capitalization and spelling) as the product picture, with the only exception that the product picture has the ending -pic.
5. There has to be no space between the picture name and the ending -pic

Example: itemname = Red outfit picturename = Red outfit-pic

So what does this mean for you as USER?

Items labelled with IBC compliant are sure to be used easily with the Inventorybutler Closet , making your Second Life better, faster, easier to back-up your items, and helps to organize your collection of items in a very convenient way!

What does it mean for you as merchant?

- You can join this quality standard and for each product you chose to create IBC compliant
- You can use the IBC label on your product pictures and call your product IBC compliant.
- You can also post a message with your store name and a list of your IBC compliant products as well as a link to your inworld store by replying to this blogpost, which will be reviewed and listed on this page. (Means free advertisement for you )

very simple but effective:

- sculpty preview, name of sculpted prim in hovertext, delivers sculpt texture on touch.

the script inside is copyable so you can copy it to items of your choice, link, use as many at once as you want and just make a sculpty organizer of your dreams
or just drop your sculpty textures into the organizer and watch it cycle through the shapes for fun

how to use:

just drop the script into a prim of your choice together with your sculptie textures. thats it!

features:

the script has a 6 seconds timer and cycles through all sculpty textures in the items inventory.
that means you can see 10 textures each minute.
a nice and easy way to see what all you have.
if you find a texture you like, simply click the object displaying the texture and you get exactly the one texture displayed into your inventory for use.
it also displays the current textures name as hovertext so you can easily write it down to remember for later use.

you can also attach it as hud to watch it that way,
and use as many texture cyclers of that kind as you want to see a few at a time.

it can be fully resized to your likings and you can rename the obeject or extract the script and copy it to another object of your choice.

the organizer is priced at a friendly 250 L for the copyable script and is delivered in a prim with manual.

how to start:

the prize trivia:
drop the welcome board near the landing point of your parcel. it will dispense the information how to participate in the hunt to your guests on touch.
drop all pots or just some of your choice in locations you want to hide them.
open the pots and fill them with gifts.
all gifts have to be boxed first if they are not objects already.
open each pot and open the script inside, then put your questions and answers in the prepared fields. Exact description where to place them is inside the script.

money trivia:
instead of dropping prizes into the objects, you grant debit permissions to the pots, open the scripts inside, fill in the questions and answers, and the amount of Linden dollars the winner should receive.
Make sure to take copies if you want to do the same hunt again, because the pots destroy themselfes after a correct solution is given, to prevent cheating.

now you can start advertising your event.
if you have no idea how to run or advertise events, you can get information or buy a manual in the quality people academy at wonderland beach.

If you want to do a GROUP ONLY hunt, just drop the money or prize pots with the (g) behind their name instead of the above mentioned. Make sure your hunt board and pots are set to the same group your group members for the hunt are in.
If your land has a different group than the group you do the hunt for,
just disable auto return on your land for the duration of the hunt, (maybe disable object build for non group members instead), then activate the group title of the group you do the hunt with, then drop the pots.
Also, set the group join sign description to be your group key.
(find the group key by dropping and touching the group key finder object, but make sure you wear the right group title when doing that )

if you want to know more about the hunt now, please go on and read the info you get when touching the board.

Hi all,

It’s my rez-day today wohoo! Alice Klinger becomes 2 years for real! Wow, what a long time in cyberspace, but time flies when you have a good time


For comparison, this is Alice at the age of about a week:

I am not going to write a novel here, just thought I say thank you to all the wonderful people that became my friends or supported me otherwise in SL , especially to my wonderful partner Allison Selene. Without her I would definitely not have come so far.

So where did I start? – First job: Dancer! LoL! Not much design skill required there, and being a chatterbox seemed to help to make the first virtual bucks Went over Host, Club manager, Club owner, Rental-Services, to Designer, and finally a CEO of a real world company (which is LL approved solution provider for the SL Grid). What a wild ride! And so much drama, but also so much fun and excitement!

Best of all I found in SL? - My wonderful partner.

Second best – A few people that enjoy what I am doing here and are my friends.

Third best – a job that I love to stand up for and enjoy every second of it!

Fourth best? – A quasi addiction that even pays my real and virtual bills. How cool is that?

So, how do I spend my rez-day? Maybe we become retro and go visiting some of the first clubs I went to, which gladly still are around! The Elbow Room (made my first friends there), Club Carnage (learned to dance in SL here), Bad Girls(got my first bling here as present from a friendly host and won my first contest, best in black, hehe ). That are my favourites to hang out at.

I won’t throw any dance party today, sorry. Maybe we do not even go out. But I still want to give you all a present to say thank you for your company on my way. The creation I am most proud of, and which so drastically improved my SL experience like no other tool. click here to grab the present on SLX
